Job: CNC Machinist/Setter

About the job

  • We are looking for a full time experienced CNC Machinist/Setter to start immediately in Burnaby, BC.
  • The right candidate will be working on Haas Milling machines and Takisawa Lathe machines.
  • Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm.
  • Highly competitive wages
  • Signing Bonus (after probation)

Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Set-up and operate CNC mills and lathes.
  • Set up, and machine parts from start to finish.
  • Build tooling and fixtures as necessary to support machining requirements.
  • Select tooling and set up methods to produce parts in the most efficient manner.
  • Use of various Monitoring & Measuring Devices & Instrumentation.
  • Complete full part inspections records and take personal ownership of quality.
  • Mentoring and training peers in machine shop practices as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience working in a CNC manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to set-up and operate is a Must.
  • Experience with Mastercam programming is a plus.
  • Trade certification is considered an asset, but not required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in CNC machines set-up and operation of both mills and lathes.
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Must have experience with Tight Tolerances..
  • Experience working on Haas milling machines.
  • A career-oriented team player.
